Chrisi has more than 11 years of experience in advocacy (grassroots and digital) through her work for nonprofits, and on candidate and issues organizing campaigns in Virginia and at the national level. She joined Child Care Aware of America in March 2015 and has supported the work of Child Care Aware of America on communications, digital organizing, and now as the director of advocacy, empowering CCR&Rs and family advocates to take action on child care and early childhood education.

NDS Lunch and Learn Webinar: CCDBG and Licensing Data Integration

Last month we shared with you information about our newest module, National Data System (NDS) Web Services, which includes new API data integration functionality. This new tool is part of our goal to support child care resource and referral agencies (CCR&Rs) and governments in carrying out work around the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG), including providing tools to help NDS users seamlessly integrate data with the new childcare.gov website included in CCDBG. CCAoA Launches New Pilot Project to Help Communities Prepare for, Respond to, and Recover from Disasters

Arlington, VA – Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) is taking significant steps to strengthen the emergency preparedness of children and child care providers by working directly with three communities on a new two-year pilot project. Over the next two years, CCAoA will work with Child Care Aware® of Kansas, Child Care Aware® of Minnesota, and the Child Care Resource Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma to provide and deliver new trainings, technical assistance, tools, and resources.
