Vroom Resources Promote Healthy Brain Development

September 07, 2017

Vroom materials have been a wonderful resource to integrate into our existing programs. When parents call requesting a child care search, we engage in conversation about child development and reaffirm to each parent the special role they play as being their child’s first and most important teacher.

As families enroll in our financial assistance program they attend an orientation meeting. During this meeting, we take the opportunity to share Daily Vroom. We discuss healthy brain development and demonstrate the Daily Vroom app and encourage them to download the app during our presentation.  The Daily Vroom app is a helpful parenting resource that provides daily interaction activity ideas that can occur during families regular routines.

We have shared the Vroom materials with child care providers in multiple trainings. The resources and learning materials have supported teachers in gaining knowledge and a greater understanding of the science of brain development. Child care providers play such an active and important role as caregiver in promoting healthy child development.

Our goal is to daily share the importance of early learning and healthy brain development to parents and providers. Vroom helps us to achieve that goal!

Childcare Resources is a resource and referral agency located in central Alabama. We help families locate child care, provide training and technical assistance to child care providers, assist low-to-moderate income working families with  financial assistance and support parents in understanding healthy child development.
