The Problem

Providers play a critical role in helping identify children with developmental concerns – if they have the right knowledge and training.

One solution

Watch Me! Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns is a free, 1-hour online training from the “Learn the Signs. Act Early” program at the Centers for Disease Control. It provides tools and best practices for monitoring the development of the children in your care and talking about it with their parents.

The course has four modules that focus on:

  • Why monitoring children’s development is important
  • Why you have a unique role in developmental monitoring
  • How to easily monitor each child’s developmental milestones
  • How to talk with parents about their child’s development

By the end of the training, you should be prepared to work with families to monitor children’s development, share your concerns with families and help families get connected to services and support that can make a real difference.

Watch Me! Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns is available in English and Spanish. Continuing Education (CE) is available.
