On the February 21, 2017 episode of The Preschool Podcast, Lynette discussed how people affect change for accessible child care, no matter what role they play – a day care provider, supervisor, employee, etc.

“Many times early childhood educators underestimate, undervalue, and under-respect the impacts they make on the children that are in their care,” she said during the podcast.

Lynette encourages child care providers and early childhood education professionals to utilize the skills they have to be a leader in the field.

In the conversation, Lynette highlight’s the need to value child care as a profession and discusses how educators can harness their strengths to become leaders and ambassadors for the field.

“Talk to others about what you know,” she said. “Be an ambassador to your profession and talk about the impact of your work.”
