RFP for Resource and Referral Agencies
Child Care Aware® of America is seeking to provide funding to a limited number of Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies to quickly support child care providers who are in the most immediate need for supplies and/or enhanced service supports (training, education, resources) related to COVID-19. Please note that this opportunity is not currently open directly to child care providers.
It is anticipated that grants will range from $10,000-$16,000, depending on the magnitude of the expressed needs and the number of qualified applicants awarded. Priority will be given to applicants who propose strategies to meet the needs of populations who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus, including, but not limited to people of color, Native American tribes and Latino communities.
Funds may be used for projects including, but not limited to the following:
- Supply needs of providers, which could include Personal Protective Equipment and other program needs,
- Resources to support social/emotional needs of children and caregivers and/or
- Support to the CCR&R agency in their efforts to eliminate barriers in offering COVID-19 related training and technical assistance to child care providers.
- Funds are not intended to be used for staff salaries/benefits
