Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) is pleased to announce that it has become a member of the National Interoperability Collaborative (NIC), a unique “community of networks” that sees a nation where everyone — especially vulnerable and underserved populations — enjoys a better life. NIC’s mission is to improve systems and increase collaboration among the sectors that enhance health, safety and well-being by advancing information-sharing, interoperability, and the use of technology.
One of the cores of CCAoA’s 2020-2022 strategic plan is data leadership. Data form a continuum -- from second-by-second transactions to anonymized and aggregated -- to inform child care research, practice and policy. As data becomes interoperable across this continuum, we enable a multiplier effect and unlock new insights and understandings for all sectors, systems, states, institutions and organizations.
Our participation in NIC’s exciting work will help us to achieve this goal. NIC was conceived and is led by the Stewards of Change Institute.
