A third of the states have closed child care. Almost all have created waivers, pandemic certificates or asked for email addresses to ask for emergency open status. It’s impressive to see what so many talented child care changemakers have turned around in such a short time. We’ve been called upon to rise to the occasion, and we should be proud. What have we learned? What is there still to learn? What about interoperability? What about the data? Are we truly able to see in real-time where the hotspots are? Can we know that a health care system needs a center in a certain location of the U.S. that isn’t there? How are we thinking long term about the supply and demand equation?
Learn about several “pop up” solutions that have been created and hear about those experiences. We discussed what still needs to be done, and how we can leverage technology and data—to not only meet the demand caused by this pandemic—but to support families far into the future.
